For mayonnaise: Mix mayo and garlic; whisk in oil. Salt, pepper

For stock: combine all above in heavy stock pot. Boil; reduce and simmer for 25 minutes; about 6 1/2 cups. Strain, removing solids.

For Noodles and Clams: Heat oil in heavy LARGE sauce pan, medium heat. Break pasta into 3 inch pieces. Stir until brown. Add stock, cook 3 minutes till pasta is tender. Add clams, submerge in liquid, simmer until open, about 8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper.


Transfer to serving dish, mix in garlic mayonnaise.
Serve
