Preheat oven 350F
Combine tomatoes, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper.
Heat 3 tbsp EVOO in a large sauté pan. Add bread cubes, stir to coat. 5 minutes, stirring, until browned.
Add the tomato mixture to the pan, stirring, 5 minutes.
Off the heat, add the basil.
Pour into a 8 cup casserole or baking dish. Sprinkle the parmesan and drizzle with 2 tbsp evoo. Bake 35-40 minutes until browned.
